Bride with Bridesmaids in Blue Bridesmaids Dresses holding Cathedral Length Veil with Polka Dots

It was Kaela and John’s lucky day when they had a spring wedding  outdoors on the water  on St. Patrick’s Day last March.   The couple had a very intimate daytime wedding celebrated with their closest friends and family

Kaela wore a beautiful A line wedding gown with spaghetti straps, a sheer illusion lace neckline and layers of softly flowing chiffon.  Her cathedral length veil was designed with cute polka dots!  The bride’s bouquet was romantic and soft featuring eucalyptus, daisies, cream and peach roses, blue thistle, hypericum berries and baby’s breath.

No stone was left unturned when it came to designing the arbor for the ceremony altar.  It was draped in peach on one side and had a large floral display made of the same flowers from Kaela’s bouquet on the other.  Several lanterns in various sizes filled with ivory pillar candles hung over the couple as they read to each other their vows.

Kaela’s colors included peach, soft pink, cream and navy blue.  Her bridesmaid’s dresses were dark blue and her bridesmaids looked stylish in different necklines.  Their bouquets were similar to Kaela’s but had soft green hydrangeas, pale pink roses and more baby’s breath.

The handsome groom looked dapper in a navy blue suit with gray vest.   Like the bride’s veil, John’s tie and pocket square featured polka dots as well.   His groomsmen wore gray suits with navy vests, ties and pocket squares.   Be sure to check out John’s boutonniere!  Not only was it designed from the bride’s bouquet but it included a miniature football!

Mother of the bride and groom both wore navy dresses cut above the knee similar to the bridesmaid’s dresses.  The mother of the groom’s dress had beautiful cut out sleeves and she wore it with a long string of pearls.  Similarly, the grooms mother looked just as elegant and wore her dress with a stunning turquoise blue silver necklace.

At the reception, guests signed a wooden sign with their name and wedding date as a great keepsake.  The couple’s wedding cake was 4 tiers and each tier was decorated beautifully with flowers.  The wedding cake topper included a bluish gray succulent with blue thistle and ivory hypericum berries.

The couple had fun with St. Patrick’s Day by using the hashtag #luckoftheraifords.   Each guest was given their own bottle of bubbly as a unique wedding favor!

Above all, it truly was a beautiful spring wedding outdoors on the water for Kaela and John!
