Bride with bridesmaids outdoors in front of chimney carrying bouquets of eucalyptus

Jasmine and Johnathon had a beautiful waterfront ceremony in Gwinnett on a warm sunny August afternoon last summer.  So many things about this wedding are amazing due to the couple’s simple and elegant wedding style.  This wedding gives couples who like a more minimalist feel lots of great ideas.

A Natural, Outdoors Ceremony

By not having alot of decor at the ceremony, the beautiful natural setting on the banks of the Yellow River and the couple’s large bridal party take center stage.    Jasmine and Johnathon have a large bridal party with 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen.  The ladies wear long black, halter top bridesmaid dresses and the men are in black suits.  By dressing everyone in black, the couple’s style is simple but so very chic.

Bridesmaids bouquets are also simple but no less elegant.  Each bridesmaid carries a bouquet made of silver leaf eucalyptus.  We love how the simple silver green in the bouquets contrast with the black bridesmaids dresses! Boutonierres are made of a single eucalyptus leaf topped with seeded eucalyptus.

The bride wore an elegant halter top wedding gown adorned with a simple crystal belt.   The flowing chiffon skirt has several slits to show just enough leg to be both tasteful and sexy.   Her bouquet is made of silver green eucalyptus and cream and burgundy roses. Like the bridal party,  Johnathan is also in black.  He wears a creative bolo tie with his white shirt.

A Simple yet Elegant Wedding Reception

At the reception, guests are treated to a very popular brunch menu.  Guests enjoyed spinach quiche, cheddar cheese grits, country ham and biscuits along with juices and fresh fruit.

Guest tables are decorated with a white pillar candle enclosed in a hurricane vase surrounded with a ring of silver leaf eucalyptus.  We love this look on the white table linens because it is so easy and affordable.

Even the wedding cake has a touch of simplicity to it.  The cake itself is small as a one tier cake but below it sits 4 tiers of delicious doughnuts!

After the groom’s fraternity brothers sang songs and Jasmine threw her bouquet, it was time for the newlyweds to depart.  While guests blew bubbles, the cute couple made their getaway in a specially decorated, fun sports car.
