A Stunning Indoor Wedding in Gwinnett County
Corrine and Garrison didn’t let the rain (and flooding) stop their shine!! Hurricane Helene affected many areas in the Southeast and Vecoma wasn’t any exception. The Yellow River swelled to our ceremony lawn. Fortunately, Vecoma has three great back-up ceremony locations! The couple chose to have their wedding indoors and it was intimate and romantic.
A Beautiful Indoor Ceremony
Corrine and Garrison’s indoor wedding in Gwinnett at Vecoma was in front of the stone fireplace adorned with candles and a berry toned, floral-lined mantle. Guests were treated to an elegant setup, with rows of chairs facing the couple as they exchanged vows. The bride’s mother artfully created the florals for the wedding.
Corrine’s bridesmaids wore lovely hues of dusty rose, wine, and raspberry, while her “bridesman” complemented them in a sharp black suit. The bridesmaids carried stunning berry hued bouquets which were also curated by the mother of the bride. Corrine was also joined by six flower girls! How cute!
Garrison and his groomsmen looked dapper in their bow ties and suits, complete with shiny black oxfords. The couple’s friend Erin officiated, making the ceremony deeply personal with heartfelt readings and prayers.
A Fun Filled Reception
The decor featured Vecoma’s complimentary wood slab centerpieces, enhanced with berry-colored florals and fumed votives. The wedding cake was a stunning three-tiered confection, topped with a “The Morgans” sign and faux white flowers, while the groom’s cake—a Reese’s peanut butter cup sheet cake—was decorated around Ole Miss themes. Guests enjoyed custom koozies at the bar, adding a personal touch. For cocktail hour, a delicious spread of cheese platters and meatballs delighted everyone.
The reception kicked off with a beautifully choreographed first dance, followed by touching moments: Corrine danced with her father to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be In My Heart,” and Garrison shared a dance with his mother to Van Morrison’s “Days Like This.” Before dinner, the bride’s father, Jeff, gave a heartfelt speech followed by a prayer. The dinner menu was delicious, featuring chicken piccata, roasted potatoes, ginger carrots, salad, and dinner rolls.
After dinner, the celebration continued with the couple cutting their cakes, which were then served to guests. The lively atmosphere on the dance floor was fueled by a vibrant live band, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time. Glow sticks and light-up glasses added to the festive spirit. To cap off the night, Corrine and Garrison made a grand exit through a tunnel of sparklers, slipping into a luxurious silver Rolls Royce with red interior—an elegant conclusion to a truly memorable day and gorgeous indoor wedding in Gwinnett County.
