Decatur Wedding Venue Hosts Beautiful Spring Ceremony

April 6th was a stunning spring day at Vecoma at the Yellow River and Eric and Gloriann added to that beauty. Pink azaleas greeted guests as they entered the venue walkway.  While this couple is currently living in Augusta, they chose Vecoma as their wedding venue because of its great location near Decatur Georgia to be closer to friends and family.

The Looks

Gloriann looked like a dream as she wore an absolutely beautiful, lace, tank sleeve style dress with a long, tulle train. We love how her curly up-do was accented with stunning gems. Her necklace, earrings, and bracelet were a matching set that added an additional touch of elegance. She carried a classic white bouquet nestled amongst greenery. Gloriann’s fabulous girl gang cheered her along in amazing emerald green bridesmaid dresses and carried similar bouquets to the bride.

Eric, the groom, donned a cream suit jacket, green bow tie paired with a black vest with black slacks and brown dress shoes. He exuded a classy, vintage elegance with his attire. His groomsmen wore the same outfit with a black suit jacket instead of the cream suit jacket.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was stunning. The sunlight peaked through the trees perfectly as the processional began. Eric danced his way down the aisle with his shades on to the song, “So fresh, So clean” by OutKast. A flower dude shook a leg to Silk Sonic “Leave the Door Open”. Then it was time for Gloriann’s magical moment as she walked down the aisle to JOHNNYSWIM “Take the World”. Vecoma’s in-house officiant Will Tucker walked them though their personal vows, the ring exchange, and their first kiss pronouncing them husband and wife. Finally, the recessional was set to Bruno Mars “Finesse”. After the gorgeous ceremony, Vecoma staff orchestrated a group photo with the couple and all of their guests, making this a moment captured in time for all of the party goers.

During the cocktail hour, the couple shared intimate moments at various locations on the beautiful Vecoma grounds. Vecoma’s in-house photographer, Caroline Tucker, captured every little detail. Some of our favorite photos of this couple were the ones taken at the stunning reflection pool just behind the wedding arbor.  This area is a fan favorite no matter the season of year because of its serene views.

The Reception

After their photos were done, the couple had a grand entrance for their bridal party to show their stuff!! Once those festivities commenced, it was time for Gloriann and Eric’s magical first dance to “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. . There were many moments during their big day where their love was shining through, but their love was beaming during this dance.

After the grand entrance and first dances, it was time to eat!! For dinner guests had a buffet of garden salad, mixed veggies, roasted new potatoes, penne pasta, herb baked chicken, and rolls.  They even had a taco station with soft and hard taco shells. This epic feast provided something for everyone’s tastebuds.

For decor, each table was dressed with a mirror, three cylinder vases, gold charger plates, green uplighting, and green linen napkins. This decor was provided and set up by the Vecoma staff. Inside of the cylinders were green sea glass, water, and floating candles.  This added a beautiful touch of color to the centerpieces. The sweetheart table featured a custom white and gold “Mr. And Mrs. Smith” sign tucked behind stunning white florals that cascaded down the table.

As dinner was ending, various members of the bridal party gave sentimental toasts to the couple. Then it was time for the newlyweds first job together – the cake cutting!! Gloriann and Eric had a two-tier cake with ribbon icing. The cake was topped with a custom golden name plate and faux flowers.  After feeding each other a bite of chocolate cake, the two shared a couple of kisses and a glass of champagne. Not only did the couple have an amazing assortment of sweets from Sucree By SugarHi, but they also opted for a yummy Vecoma ice cream bar.

The End to the Evening

After some sweets and some dancing, the couple did a garter toss and a bouquet toss.  Then they added the twist that the person who caught the garter belt had to put it on the person who caught the bouquet!! Then the dancefloor opened back up and guests were ready to bust a move.  As the night came to a close the couple had another epic moment. As the classic song, Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” came on the couple were serenaded by their closest family and friends. After that, the couple had a gorgeous nighttime bubble exit and said goodbye to all of the remaining guests.
